Welcome to the America’s Promise Community of Practice (CoP)!

We’re very excited to announce the launch of the America’s Promise Community of Practice.  Through discussion topics, a membership directory, blogs, and a resource library, this CoP is an opportunity for the America’s Promise community to connect, start conversations, ask questions, and share promising practices. Our hope is this site will foster a space that encourages peer-to-peer sharing and learning. While we at the Employment and Training Administration (ETA) can offer technical assistance (TA) and guidance, there is much we can learn from each other.

To get you started, here is some of the information that is available on the CoP:

Discussion Topics

This tool is designed to be an open forum for grantees, TA providers, coaches, and ETA to interact. You can ask questions about program implementation, share your career pathways models, or ask for best practices on leveraging public and private resources. We’ve kicked things off by starting a discussion thread on the recent America's Promise convening. Check it out here. If you have a topic that you would like to see and be a part of, don’t be shy!  Start one of your own!

Membership Directory

The Member Directory can connect you with your WorkforceGPS colleagues. This great feature allows you to contact your fellow grantees on a one to one basis. To better understand how to use this feature, view this videowhich will walk you through setting up your own profile and connecting with other dedicated workforce professionals.

Blogs
This is just the first of many blog posts we plan on sharing over the life of our America’s Promise grants. We hope to utilize this component to share not only our thoughts, but the voices of leaders and subject matter experts with great knowledge in education and workforce development.
