Innovate Birmingham Workforce celebrated the graduation of nearly 50 bootcamp and scholarship graduates.

In a special ceremony in Birmingham’s Railroad Park on May 5, 2017, the first class of students graduated from the Innovate Birmingham Workforce program that trains unemployed or underemployed area young adults for high-demand information technology careers.

Spring graduates have accepted positions at Shipt, Protective Life, Southern Company, Data Perk, BBVA Compass, Cornerstone School, Sycle Dot Net, and Apple. 

Alabama Power Executive Vice President of Marketing and Business Development, John Hudson, welcomed graduates and guests to graduation. 
UAB President Ray Watts and Birmingham City Mayor Randall Woodfin addressed the graduates to honor their achievement.
