The Individual Microcredential Assistance Program (IMAP) helps Ohioians who are low income, partially unemployed, or totally unemployed participate in a training program to receive a credential at no cost.
IMAP training providers will cover all tuition fees and additional costs to help particpants learn new skills and earn a credential that can lead to a good job. Training providers — including colleges, universities, technical centers or private-sector training businesses — can apply for reimbursement of up to $3,000 per credential issued up to $250,000 per provider.
Credentials available through IMAP are short-term, industry-recognized, and technology-focused. Enrollment is open to Ohio residents who are low income, partially unemployed, or totally unemployed. Individual training programs may have additional requirements.
